The matter is of Chak Atar Singh Wala village of Bathinda. A family living here today informed the officials of Sahara Jan Seva Sanstha that the body of their minor girl was found in a tank built for water storage by digging a 10 feet deep pit behind their house. After this information, officials of the organization Rajinder Kumar and Sandeep Singh reached the spot with their team and informed the police.
On receiving the information, Nandgarh police reached the police station, took the body of the minor girl in their custody and sent it for post-mortem.
The girl was being searched for four days
Nandgarh police station ASI Yusuf Muhammad said that on December 26, Sukhpal Singh, father of the deceased minor girl Mannu Kaur, complained to the police station that his daughter had left the house without informing on December 25. Since then the family and the police were searching for the missing girl. This morning we received information that the body of Mannu Kaur has been found in the water tank built behind her house.
Police said that 15-year-old deceased Mannu Kaur was studying in class ten. The body has been sent for post-mortem and investigation into the matter has been started. Let us tell you that the family members had prepared a tank by digging a pit in the ground behind their house to store water.
