1. India’s first Test victory (1952) India won their first win in Test cricket against England in Chepock (Chennai). In this match, Veenu Mankad took 12 wickets. Batting first after winning the toss, the English team scored 266 runs in the first innings.

2. First Test Win outside Asia (1967–68) India won the first win outside Asia by winning a 3–1 series in New Zealand under the captaincy of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Irapalli Prasanna and Bishan Singh Bedi together took 40 wickets in this series. In this 4 -match series, India won their match by 5 wickets in Dunedin.
3. Win in West Indies and England (1971) Under the captaincy of Ajit Wadekar, India defeated England for the first time in his house. The team won the 3-match Test series 1-0. After this tour, the Indian team went on the West Indies tour of the time.
Here India won the 5-match Test series 1-0. Sunil Gavaskar scored 774 runs against the West Indies. Which is still the record for the highest run in a series of any batter in India.

4. Won World Cup for the first time (1983) India won the World Cup at 1983 Lords under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. The Indian team got a new identity from this World Cup. Australia were currently winning 16 consecutive Tests. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. The team scored 445 runs in the first innings. Virender Sehwag first Indian to score a triple century (2004) Virender Sehwag, the first batsman to score a triple century for India, became the first Indian to score a triple century in Test by scoring 309 runs in Multan against Pakistan.
