Handhiaya, 12th December

The BJP has received a big blow before the municipal council elections. Several district level leaders including Gurmeet Singh, who was a two-time BJP councilor, joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Gurmeet Singh has been a councilor twice in Handhiaya Municipal Council. He has also been the district president of Barnala BJP three times. Along with them, BJP state executive member Harinder Singh Sidhu and BJP leaders Charanpreet Singh and Buta Singh also left BJP and joined AAP. His joining AAP will definitely give a big boost to the party here. All the new leaders were formally inducted into the party by AAP Punjab state president Aman Arora at the Chandigarh party office and welcomed them into the AAP family. Harinder Singh Dhaliwal, the candidate of the party in the Barnala Vidhan Sabha by-election, was present with him. While welcoming all the leaders to the party, Aman Arora attacked the BJP and said that the BJP will be wiped out from Punjab in this time’s local body elections. He said that now Aam Aadmi Party is the first choice of people even in the cities of Punjab. People are very happy with the work of the ‘AAP’ government in the last two and a half years. Now Lok Nagar administration also wants to hand over to Aam Aadmi Party.
