Government’s big decision
In its 56th meeting, the GST Council has taken a big decision and changed the rates. Earlier, TV (LCD, LED), AC and dishwasher with 32 -inch big screen were 28 percent GST, but now it has been reduced to 18 percent. The benefit of low rates will also be available on monitor, projector and electric acumulator (non-lithium ion). The government hopes that this decision will increase the demand for AC and big screen TVs among the people, which will bring more money in the market than before. The government believes that the GST on the dishwasher will increase the ease of life and the price of items like monitor and projector will benefit educational institutions, offices and digital learning centers. Similarly, due to low prices of electric acubleters, energy storage solutions will be cheap, which will make it easier to access power backup for digital devices.
Companies are also bringing cells
E-commerce companies are also going to start their sale before Diwali. Flipkart and Amazon have announced the sale. They have not announced the date, but have indicated that both companies are going to give huge discounts from smartphones to fridge and fashion to beauty products.
