Of the 107 patients, 90 patients improved
Research data shows that out of 107 patients suffering from stress, 90 patients showed significant improvement. Out of 99 patients suffering from anxiety, 89 patients experienced relief. In addition, positive changes were observed in 90 out of 110 cases of depression. The study also found that regular chanting of Om Naad and Gayatri Mantra increases concentration. Of the 81 students who had difficulty concentrating, 72 experienced significant improvement. Of the 79 women who suffered from mood swings, 70 women experienced positive changes.
The mind gets peace
According to researchers, the waves generated by chanting the Om sound and the Gayatri mantra calm the mind and activate the body’s chakras. During this process, brain cells are activated, which improves mental health.
Experts emphasize that a calm environment and proper posture are important while chanting these mantras. Chanting the mantras while sitting in padmasana, closing the eyes and taking deep breaths gives the best results. This research shows that our ancient Indian traditions are very valuable to relieve the busyness and stress of modern life. Introspection and spiritual practices can be a boon for mental health.
