The Indian Meteorological Department is constantly alerting people by issuing weather updates across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of cold wave in many states and extreme cold in many states. Rainy season is still continuing in South India. In its latest update, the department has issued a double weather alert in Delhi.
What will the weather be like across the country in the coming days?
Delhi NCR as well as north-western and northern states are witnessing extreme cold. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Delhi has reached 5 degrees Celsius. Now along with extreme cold, dense fog alert has been issued on 21st and 22nd. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi on December 26. The Meteorological Department says that the city may remain under dense fog from December 21 to 25. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature may drop to 5 degrees.
Minimum temperature dropped
The Meteorological Department has continuously released the minimum temperature data across the country. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature has dipped below zero degree Celsius in many parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. While Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan recorded minimum temperatures between 4 and 8 degrees Celsius. However, some areas of Bihar, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh recorded minimum temperatures between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius, higher than other states. In many states, the minimum temperature was recorded between -1 degree Celsius to -3 degree Celsius below normal. These include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch districts of Gujarat.
