LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Bima Sakhi Yojana from Panipat, Haryana on Monday (December 9). The aim of this scheme is to make women self-reliant. While launching this scheme, PM Modi said that India is continuously taking steps towards women empowerment. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also symbolically handed over appointment letters to some insurance experts.
Women will be trained to become LIC agents under Bima Sakhi Scheme. Meanwhile, 5 to 7 thousand rupees will also be given every month. Apart from this, commission will also be given.
Who can apply
Bima Sakhi scheme is for women only. So it is necessary to have at least 10th pass certificate to apply. Only women between 18 and 70 years can apply.

Special training and scholarships
The statement added that under this scheme women will be given special training and stipend for the first 3 years to promote financial literacy and insurance awareness.
Opportunity to become LIC Agent to Development Officer
After training, women can work as LIC agents and graduate Bima Sakhis will also get an opportunity to work as development officers in LIC.
You will get 7 thousand per month
In the beginning of this scheme, women will be given Rs 7,000 per month. So in the second year this amount will be increased to Rs 6,000 and in the third year Rs 5,000 will be given every month. Bima Sakhi will also be paid a separate commission.
