The Bharatiya Janata Party today issued a ‘charge sheet’ against 10 MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party. accused the MLAs of poor performance and claimed a strong opposition in their constituencies ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The Aam Aadmi Party has dropped 18 of its sitting MLAs in the second list of candidates announced on Monday, said Vijendra Gupta, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and head of the BJP’s charge sheet committee.
He also accused two other AAP MLAs, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla, of deserting their constituencies.
He said during the press conference that we will issue a charge sheet highlighting the failures and misdeeds of the AAP government and its MLAs. These charge sheets will be distributed to the voters in their constituencies. MLAs from Madipur, Burari, Model Town, Mundka, Kalkaji, Gokulpur, Malviya Nagar, RK Puram Moti Nagar and Narela have been targeted in BJP’s charge sheets. The chargesheets carried the tagline ‘Delhi Govt Hoi Kangal, AAP MLA Malamal’, ‘Sheesh Mahal Mein Kejriwal’ which claimed that while AAP MLAs became rich, the Delhi government became economically poor. , and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal built a ‘palace’. Mr. Gupta argued that AAP had to replace its existing MLAs as they could not face the people of their constituencies due to their poor performance. He also criticized Sisodia, terming his claim of being the father of revolution in education as a ‘lie’ and accused him of abandoning his Praparganj seat for the Jangpura seat to avoid accountability. The BJP leader said that due to poor performance of MLAs, their constituencies have been changed. Due to this, people will not face such candidates. He appealed to the people that when such candidates come to you, they must be asked about the performance of the previous constituency.
