New Delhi: Augbhan Gill made history to history (August 2) when he broke the best runway recorded in the Test series played between India and England. Former England captain Graham Gooch scored 752 for India in three Tests against India in 1990. Gill, at present the Indian team is leading the Indian team in Andolusn-Tedulkar Trophy.
Gill had scored 722 for the first four matches and he needed to make at least 31 runs in the fifth Test to break the gooch record. He scored 21 for the first innings, which he was left behind by breaking the 35-year record of the gooch. Gill crossed the 10-run figure in the first session of the fifth Test in the second innings.

Before breaking the gooch record, Gill also broke the record of Sunil Gavaskar record in a Test series as a Indian captain. Gavaskar played six matches as captain in the Indo-West Indies test series in 1978-79 and scored a total of 732 runs.
A 25-year-old Bulbhawan Gill will have to build at least 32 runs in the second innings to break the record. Gill makes 68 in the second innings, then he will also break the record of Don Bradman to make the highest runs in the Test series. Bradman scored a total of 810 runs against England in the Ashes in the Ashes in 1936-37.
