Kurukshetra University has secured the third position in the All India Inter-University Women’s Boxing Championship. In this competition, the women wrestlers of the university won 26 matches. Vinka won the gold medal in the 57 kg weight category while Anjali won the bronze medal in the 81 kg weight category. This competition was conducted from 17th to 24th December in Gurukashi University Talwandi Sabo. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University Prof. Sem Nath Sachdeva congratulated the women players and coach Rajesh Kumar Rajond of the winning team. Mr. Sachdeva said that girls are not less in the field of sports. Women wrestlers have made Kurukshetra University proud by securing the third position. He assured that every possible effort will be made to further improve the university sports facilities and connect modern technology with sports.
