- Bridge Course For BEd Degree Holders In UP Will Provide Eligibility Of BTC

Uttar Pradesh Government has approved 6 months bridge course PDPET to give BEd pass candidates equal recognition to BTC. This course will be online and will be conducted by NIOS. With its help, such BEd holders will be eligible to become primary teachers, who had become ineligible after the order of the Supreme Court.
Director General of Basic Education Department said that this PDPET online course has been going on since 2005 and it will help 30 thousand BEd teachers. The objective of this bridge course is to comply with the conditions of the Supreme Court by training the teachers.

BEd holders become ineligible due to Supreme Court’s decision
Last year, the Supreme Court had said in a decision that BEd degree holders will not be eligible to teach primary classes i.e. classes 1 to 5. In such a situation, this 6 months course will make them eligible to become primary teachers again.
Applications will start from November 1
Candidates who want to do this bridge course will be able to apply for it from November 1. Applications will start on the official website of NIOS. After completion of the application, the training will run from December 2025 to May 2026. Any other information will be released on the website of the Education Department.
