bsnl to start transition from 4g to 5g very soon Jyotiraditya Scindia shares plan


There is good news for users of government telecom company BSNL. They are going to get 5G connectivity soon. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the company will start transition from 4G to 5G from June this year. By May-June, the company will complete the 4G deployment and after that work will be started for 5G connectivity. Let us know that Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea have started 5G network in the country. However, Vodafone Idea has started giving 5G connectivity in select places so far.

89,000 4G site has been installed- Scindia

Talking to Moneycontrol, Scindia had planned one lakh site for 4G connectivity. Of these, 89 thousand have been installed and the single cell function test process is going on. He said that till May-June, there is a plan to make all one lakh sites operational. After this, 5G work will start from June. This will require additional hardware and software upgrade. He also informed that India is the fifth country in the world after China, South Korea, Finland and Sweden, which has developed 4G technology itself.

1.75 crore number to stop fraud- Scindia

During this, Scindia also informed about the government’s steps to stop spam calls and telecom fraud. He informed that so far 1.75 crore fake mobile connections have been discontinued through the Communication Saathi portal. Similarly, 1.5 lakh WhatsApp groups involved in fraud cases have been closed. To monitor the fraud, a digital intelligence unit has been created and the I-Core spoof call monitoring system is blocking 1.3 crore spoof calls daily.
