The struggle between the Haryana police and the farmers continued for several hours regarding the farmers’ exodus to Delhi and finally the leaders called the farmers back. Since then the situation on the Shambhu border has been peaceful. Adequate security arrangements have been made by the police administration. Meanwhile, no one is allowed to go towards Shambhu border.

It has been announced by the farmers to send the second batch to Delhi tomorrow, in view of which the administration at the border today checked the water cannon.

The Haryana Police had issued a statement and said that the farmers tried to pull down the nets of the police front by tying chains and created a ruckus by climbing on it. Today, these nets were welded by the police so that the farmers could not carry them forward.

It may be mentioned that the farmers had announced to migrate to Delhi on February 13 and the Shambhu border was closed by the Haryana Police on February 11. From that time until today, the Delhi-Amritsar highway has been closed due to which the people going to Punjab and Jammu Kashmir are facing a lot of problems.
