The main leaders of the three parties have camped in this town. In particular, a dozen leaders of the ruling party have been campaigning here and they have been commanded by Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak. District president Amit Singh Mantu and other leaders have kept 1-1 wards and they are campaigning from house to house. On the other hand, former Congress MLA Joginder Pal has taken charge of all the election campaigns in the Nagar Panchayat and he is boosting the morale of his candidates by telling them that they do not need to fear the ruling leaders in any way. Similarly, the third party is the BJP, which is led by the former Deputy Speaker Dinesh Babbu, but the condition of the BJP looks thin because people are rarely responding to their campaigning.
