Will iPhone also become history in the coming ten years? Eddy Cue, a big officer of Apple, has given a similar indication, which has created a stir in the world of Tech.
Testifying in the onset case against Google in the US, Cue said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is moving so fast that iPhone may not be needed till 2035.
He called it a big ‘technological shift’ and said, ‘We do not make oil or toothpaste, which will always run. There may be no need for iPhone one day.
AI can make iPhone old
Cue gave the example of IPod and said how we had stopped the most popular device of a time. Now the same situation can also happen to the iPhone. He admitted that iPhone is Apple’s biggest source of earning, but new techniques like AI can change games.
AI can change the condition of companies
Cue said that even big tech companies can leave behind AI. He told that when he came to Silicon Valley, the top companies, such as HP and Sun Microsystems, are either finished today or have become very small.
Google’s search is threatened by the king
Regarding a deal of $ 20 billion (about ₹ 1.66 lakh crore) every year between Apple and Google, Cue said that currently Google is the best search engine, but new tools running from AI can compete in future. However, these tools are not so capable right now.
She admitted that companies like Microsoft Bing and DuckDuckgo are unable to compete with Google, but new companies equipped with AI are coming with different thinking and the same can become the real challenge.
Search traffic is decreasing in Safari
Cue said that recently the number of people searching on Safari browser has decreased, because people are now asking AI chatbots directly questions. This is the first time this has happened.
Apple may suffer big loss
If the deal with Google is over, Apple may get a big financial shock. Cue said that it is beyond comprehension that the law is blaming Google, but the loss can be done to Apple. He said that even without a deal, people will probably choose Google because he is the best option right now.
AI is not just a matter of future, it is becoming a reality today. If AI continues to move forward at this speed, then by 2035 we can all live in a world where devices like iPhone are not needed. Eddy Cue’s testimony has made it clear that no one in the world of technology is forever and AI can change the coming tomorrow completely.
