Canada study visa- If a student now wants to change your college or university in Canada, it must be taken a new study permit. The government here has made changes to the rules related to the study visa for foreign students. According to the information received, students had to update information on the Immigration, Refugeees Portal to transfer the university in college. The process was neither the need for new visas and disruption. However this feature is now closed.
According to IRCC, students will now have to get a new study permit to change the post-secondary level (such as college to another from college). As long as this permit is not accepted, students will not start studying in the new institution. If a student starts studying without permission, it will be considered violating his study permit terms.
These changes will suffer specifically to Canada from the states like Punjab and Haryana, where a large number of young teachers go to Canada every year. Students will not only have to go through the complex process not to the students but both the time and money will cost. This can also be delayed in the plan. The government believes that this step will help prevent artificial colleges and visa fraud.
From May 1, 2025, international students who want to convert to any other school, or university will have to apply for a new study permit. Foreign students need to get a new study permit by applying to extend their current study permit to change universities.
If students fail to apply for a new study permit and convert to the new study permit, the study permit can be canceled and not approved for another study or work permit in the future.
