Car and motorcycle collision; death of one

A motorcyclist died in a horrific collision between a car and a motorcycle coming from the wrong direction on Thursday morning near Gurdwara Nabha Sahib on the Zirakpur-Patiala road. According to available information, Vipan Sharma (37) son of Pritam Chand Sharma who was a resident of Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh and who lived on rent in Wadhwa Nagar Baltana of Zirakpur and worked as a caterer. He was going on his motorcycle from Zirakpur to Patiala side for work. Meanwhile, the driver of a car coming from the wrong side hit the motorcycle hard and fled away leaving the car on the spot. Vipan Sharma was seriously injured in the accident, who was sent to a local private hospital by the passers-by, who was referred to GMCH Sector 32 after seeing his serious condition. On reaching there, the doctors declared Vipan Sharma dead. On the complaint of the family members of the deceased, the police registered a case against the unidentified driver based on the number of the car and started searching for the car driver.

Today, a truck full of junk overturned near Jandali Bridge on Ambala GT Road, due to which the traffic was completely affected. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter and diverted the vehicles. Although there was no loss of life in this accident, people had to face a lot of trouble due to long queues of vehicles. The call 112 team that reached the spot said that the driver is absconding from the spot after the truck overturned and they are trying to get information.

On the national highway from Banur to Tepla, the driver of an overloaded tractor-trolley suddenly braked and the car coming behind the trolley collided with the trolley within the limits of Banur. The collision was so severe that the front part of the car was badly damaged. Due to the opening of the airbags of the car, the driver of the car escaped unhurt. According to the information received, the accident took place around half past ten at night. The overloaded trolley was coming from Tepla towards Banur. Behind it, a young man from Banur was coming with his car. According to the car driver, the tractor driver braked suddenly, due to which the trolley stopped and his car collided with the trolley. He said that the matter has been complained to the police. They have demanded a crackdown on overloaded trolleys full of straw running at night.
