Apple Users: The government has issued a warning for Apple users. If you use any device of Apple like Apple like iPadone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV or Apple Vision Pro, then this information is very important for you. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, has issued a serious safety warning for Apple users.
What is the whole matter
According to the CERT-in report, the Apple device has many dangerous safety flaws that hackers can enter your device and steal your data. Not only this, hackers can also get complete control on your device, which can also cause serious threat to privacy.
This warning is given in an advisory called ‘CIVN-2025-0071’, stating that these flaws may affect iOS, MACOS, iPados, Safari browser and other apple software. CERT-in advises users to update their devices immediately.
Which users are in danger
According to the information, this warning has been released not only keeping in mind personal users but also companies. Most are the threat to those users who are using devices with old version of Apple.
iPhone and iPad: Older versions from iOS and iPados version 18.4, 17.7.6, 16.7.11, 15.8.4
Mac: Macos Sequoia 15.4, Sonoma 14.7.5, Ventura 13.7.5 before version
Apple TV: TVOS 18.4 Version
Apple Vision Pro: Visionos 2.4 older version
Safari browser: Version before 18.4
Xcode: Older version from 16.3
These disadvantages can be done
Through these flaws, cyber criminals can misuse your device. They can reach your private and financial data, get control on the system or crash the device completely.
What is the way to escape
CERT-in has advised all Apple users to update their devices immediately. Apple has released security patches to fix these flaws which are available on the official website. You can follow these steps to update the device.
iPhone/iPad: Settings > General > Software Update
Mac: System Settings > General > Software Update
Apple tv and other devices: Choose the system update option by going to settings
Also, it has been advisable to turn on automatic updates so that all security patch in future can be installed on time.
