Chandigarh Police DGP Surendra Singh Yadav has claimed that with the implementation of the new law, the people of the country will get justice as soon as possible. The police investigation process will be very fast. He informed that under the new law, punishment in theft cases can be received from the court within 70 days.

DGP Surendra Singh Yadav, while talking to journalists on Thursday, said that after receiving information about any incident, information will be given to the concerned police station, CFSL and crime team. Forensic team and investigating officer will reach the spot. In case of felony crime punishable with a punishment of 7 years, it will be mandatory for the CFSL team to come to the spot.
He told that after this the report of the entire case will be uploaded through Nyaya Setu. Any officer will be able to see this information with a single click. He said that this will save a lot of time and resources. Wool
Along with the common people, school students are also being made aware about the new laws in the engineering college by showing demos.
Case reached sentencing in 70 days
Information was given on how fast the cases will be resolved under the new law, that on September 3, the police arrested him in the case of motorcycle theft. The charge sheet was filed through e-prosecution on 12 November. Charges were framed on the same day and the court found him guilty and sentenced him to 8 days imprisonment. In this case, the entire action took only 70 days.
Police arrested Mohit and Vijay in the case of money and document snatching. Both were arrested on 13 and 17 November. The charge sheet was filed on 21 November. Charges were framed on 28 November and testimony in the case took place on 30 November. The statements of the accused were recorded on 30 November. After this, on December 2, the court proved him guilty and sentenced him to one year imprisonment.
Made students aware by giving demo
Along with the common people, school students are also being made aware about the new laws in the engineering college by showing demos.
