The New Year Eve celebration to be held at Chandigarh Golf Club on 31 December 2024 has now been cancelled. Giving information about this, the club management said that this decision was taken due to the state mourning declared by the Government of India on the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

The notice issued by the golf club said that the New Year Eve event had to be postponed due to state mourning in honor of Dr. Manmohan Singh. The club expressed regret to the members for this inconvenience and appealed for their cooperation.
The club also informed that members who had already purchased tickets can get their amount refunded in full until January 7, 2025. The club management has requested the members to contact within the stipulated time frame for refund of the tickets.
