.

On this, Congress MP from Chandigarh Manish Tiwari said that when India was about to get independence, our leaders did not take the decision that old buildings would be demolished and new ones would be built.

He said that the leaders of that time took the decision to give fundamental rights to the people of the country, which was very creative at that time. These included decisions like abolition of untouchability, abolition of bonded labour, right to vote irrespective of caste and religion, and equal voting rights for women. All this was contained in the Constitution written by Dr. BR Ambedkar, which has been appreciated by the whole world.

Manish Tiwari said that if any person wrongly addresses the name of Dr. BR Ambedkar, he directly hurts the Constitution. He appealed to Home Minister Amit Shah to immediately take back the words he said and apologise.
