Chandigarh Housing Board has canceled the allotment of two milk booths of Verka in Dhanas due to non-payment of rent. The Board has informed the Managing Director of Verka by sending a letter in this regard. The Board issued letter no. 2 to Verka on 30 March 2020.

The rent of each booth was fixed at Rs 6,955 per month. In which GST had to be paid separately. According to the agreement, there was a provision for a 10 percent increase in rent every three years. According to the board, notices were sent to Verka on 28 April 2022, 8 July 2022 and 20 April 2023 for non-payment of rent continuously. Despite this no payment was made. After this, a show cause notice was issued on October 4 and instructions were given to deposit the outstanding fare and penalty of Rs 4,44,353.
Despite the notice, Verka did not deposit the rent, due to which the Chandigarh Housing Board canceled the allotment of both the booths. Now the board will take further action regarding these booths.
