Gold jewellery, iPhone and cash worth lakhs were stolen from a wedding ceremony at the Community Center in Sector 37, Chandigarh. On the complaint of Major General Basant Singh, resident of Noida Sector 37, Sector 39 police station registered a case against unknown accused and started investigation.

Basant Singh told the police that he had come to Chandigarh from Noida to attend the wedding ceremony. During this time someone stole his purse. The purse contained gold bangles, two gold rings, an iPhone, Rs 8,000 in cash and an Aadhar card. Police are scanning the CCTV cameras installed around the incident site.

79-year-old veteran General Major Basant Singh told that he had come to the Community Center located in Chandigarh Sector 37 to attend the wedding ceremony with his wife. He was sitting at the table with his wife. His wife kept her purse near the table and went to get food. When she came back, she saw that her purse was missing. After this he informed the police about the incident. Let us tell you that many incidents of theft from wedding ceremonies have come to light in the city.
