Under the Adarsh Vidyalaya scheme, 80 ‘CM Schools of Excellence’ schools have been opened at the district level in Jharkhand. The admission process for the academic session 2025-26 in these schools has started from January 20. The last date to apply for admission is February 10. The Jharkhand Education Department has made available the application form and guidelines for admission on the website of all ‘CM Schools of Excellence’ schools. The admission form will be available in the office of the District Education Officer. Application for admission can also be made in online mode by visiting the school website.
Application for admission is free. Application is free in ‘CM School of Excellence’ schools. A help desk has also been set up at the office of the District Education Officer to address the concerns of parents and answer their queries. Let us tell you that classes from first to twelfth are taught in the ‘CM School of Excellence’ schools of Jharkhand. 27 schools in the state provide education from 9th to 12th standard, 48 schools from 6th to 12th standard and four schools from 1st to 12th standard. There is only one school where classes I to X are taught.
Let’s know how to get admission in ‘CM School of Excellence’ schools: There will be an entrance exam for admission in ‘CM School of Excellence’ schools. It will be held on March 1. After this, the first merit list will be released at the school level on March 10. After the admission process is over, studies will start from April 1 with CBSE based NCERT books.
Preference will be given if the house is within two kilometers from the school. Certain priorities have also been set for addition to the ‘CM School of Excellence’ schools. Children whose homes are within two kilometers of the school will be given priority in admission. District level reservation roster will be followed in nomination.
