Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu held a high level review meeting with all the concerned parties on the occasion of his visit to International Airport Halwara. Meanwhile, he has expressed hope that commercial flights from Halwara airport will start within the next six months. He said that he will start the process of starting air flights soon with the intervention of the Civil Aviation Minister using private resources.
After inspecting the airport with senior officials of the Indian Air Force, Airport Authority and Punjab Government, Minister Bittu claimed that the main infrastructure works including fencing, taxiway and airstrip are progressing rapidly.
