Former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal served at Gurdwara Sri Tudi Ganti Sahib, where he was touched by Guru Gobind Singh’s feet, on the last day of the punishment imposed by Sri Akal Takht. He served as watchman for two hours from 9 am. After that performed kirtan sarvan from 10 to 11 am and then had food in the langar from 11 to 12 pm. Similarly, working president of Shomni Akali Dal Balwinder Singh Bhundar, former cabinet minister Daljit Singh Cheema, Sucha Singh Langah, Gulzar Singh Ranike, Hira Singh Gabaria also served in the Gurdwara Sahib. On this occasion, former MLA from Muktsar Kanwarjit Singh Rozi Barkandi, former MLA from Malot Harpreet Singh, district president Preetinder Singh Sammewali, former general secretary Jagjit Singh Brar Honey Fattanwala, urban district president Manjinder Singh Bittu and other local leaders also served. A large number of Akali supporters also reached to meet Sukhbir Singh Badal, but due to the strictness of the police, their access to Badal was not possible. The police had put a strict blockade on all the gates of Sri Darbar Sahib. The road to Gurudwara Shaheed Ganj was closed for vehicles due to which people were in trouble. A special place was reserved for journalists.
Punishment completed, prayers will be offered at Sri Akal Takht Sahib tomorrow
Shiromani Akali Dal Senior Vice President and Core Committee Member Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the last phase of service imposed by the Singh Sahibs under the religious punishment imposed on Sukhbir Singh Badal and other leadership has been completed on December 12 at Sri Muktsar Sahib. Sukhbir Badal will reach Sri Harmandir Sahib Amritsar from here, where prayers will be offered at Sri Akal Takht Sahib tomorrow, 13th December, after offering Karah Prashad. They will conclude their service by praying.
