In view of the upcoming Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections, the first training session for polling parties along with various municipal councils and one municipal panchayat was conducted at various places across Ludhiana on December 21. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (DEO) Jitinder Jorwal today motivated the election staff to perform their duties with full diligence and honesty. During the training, Mr. Jorwal informed the polling parties about the entire election process, their specific responsibilities and other election procedures as well as how to handle the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He said that another training session would be conducted in which all the staff posted for election duty would be encouraged to focus on their responsibilities instead of taking concessions.
