Iqbal Singh Shant
Dabbwali, 29 December

Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the Congress is spreading rumors about the funeral of former Prime Minister late Manmohan Singh and has resorted to politics of lightness. Talking in Dabwali, he said that the Modi government has approved the construction of a memorial for Manmohan Singh and the creation of a trust for its management in the cabinet meeting, while the Congress is forgetting today that the decision not to build a special place on the death of the former prime minister was in 2013. It happened during the UPA government. Mr. Thakur stopped at Dabbwali today while going to share his grief with the Chautala family. He held the Congress responsible for the Sikh riots of 1984 and said that action against Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler etc. was possible after the SIT was formed by the Modi government. Referring to the road development, he said that today there are one and a half lakh kilometers of national roads in the country, while earlier there were only 96 thousand kilometers of national roads. When asked about the expensive toll prices on NH roads, Mr. Thakur said that roads are being built on the same lines all over the world today. Anurag Thakur paid tributes to late Om Prakash Chautala at Tejakhera Farm.
