Controversy over ‘Beef Biryani Scene’ in the film, people reached High Court, special screening will be held, then decision will be taken

Mumbai. Malayalam film actor Shane Nigam’s much awaited film ‘Haal’ is stuck in a censorship controversy. Its hearing is going on in the Kerala High Court. Now news has come that a special screening of ‘Haal’ has been scheduled for Kerala High Court on 25th October. After watching this, it will be decided whether the objections of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on some scenes are justified or not.

Justice V.G. Arun scheduled the screening of the film on October 25 at 7 pm at Padmugal Color Planet Studio in Kakkanad in the presence of the petitioners, film producers and the respondents CBFC and their lawyers. Earlier he had said that he would watch this film himself. After watching the film, the case will be heard on October 30.

The Censor Board had directed the filmmakers to remove a scene containing dialogues related to ‘Beef Biryani’ and ‘Salami’. In response, the film makers approached the Kerala High Court challenging the Censor Board’s directive.

Controversy over beef biryani and flag salute

The censor board’s objections included the dialogue ‘Dhwaj pranam, team alert hai’ and a scene of eating ‘biryani’. Due to this controversy the release of the film is getting delayed. This film was to be released on 12 September. Challenging the objections of the Censor Board, the filmmakers had argued that cutting this scene would affect the story of the film.

Veer directed the film

‘Haal’ has been directed by new director Veer. JVJ Productions has produced it. It is being told that Sakshi Vaidya will be seen opposite Shane Nigam in this biggest budget film of his career. It includes Johnny Antony, Nath, Vineet Kumar, K. Artists like Madhupal, Sangeeta Madhavan Nair, Joy Mathew, Nishant Sagar, Niyas Baker, Riyas Narmkala, Suresh Krishna, Raveendran, and Sohan Seenulal also star.
