Craft fair: Himachali folk artists danced the audience

During the ongoing ten-day national craft fair at Kalagram in Manimajra here, along with cultural programs, various cuisines of different states have become the center of attraction. During this ongoing fair at Kalgram, a large number of people are coming to enjoy art and culture every day. Jaleb from Haryana is in the highest demand during the fair. Along with this, misri malai milk is also being served which doubles the taste of jalebi. Artisans from Gohana of Haryana are making jaleb during the fair. The ‘Mumbai Street’ at the fair is also popular with foodies with special misal pav and tawa pulao. Apart from this, Masala Pav, Vada Pav, Puran Poli, Kandha Poha, Special Pav Bhaji, Sabudhana Khichdi along with Special Maratha Thali are also available.

During the fair, artists from different states also entertained the audience with their performances throughout the day. During the music evening, Himachali artists Kakuram Thakur and Geet Bharadwaj performed Himachali songs and made the audience dance to Himachali Naati. The stage was moderated by Kuldeep Guleria. This ten-day fair organized jointly by the North Zone Cultural Center and the Art and Cultural Department of the Chandigarh Administration will continue till December 8.
