Hundreds of people of village Killianwali have put the body of youth Vikram Singh, who was murdered on the night of December 6, on Dabbwali-Malot NH-9 and staged a dharna on the road today. Even after two hours of dharna on NH, no official of Punjab Police had reached the spot.
People are angry that the accused of the murder was not arrested till the third day of the incident. In this case, the police has nominated eight people and registered a case against a total of 13 people. The protesters are demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
The heirs of the deceased and the villagers allege that the murder is directly linked to the drug war. The police did not mention drugs in the FIR registered regarding the murder. While statements regarding drugs were given to the police.
Vikram Singh was killed after being called out of his house on the night of December 6 at the famous village of Killianwali.
