CBSE Board Exam : The CBSE Cilbus Committee has approved the use of calculator in the 12th grade accountancy exams. The purpose of this long-term running priority is to reduce the student’s stress and improve the quality of evaluation. However, this decision has not yet received approved by the top govering body of the board. Currently, students with special needs are allowed to use calculators in board exams.
The CBSE Board’s Academic Department had decided to allow calculators in November last year. In which the decision to allow the use of calculator to allow CBSE in accordance with international standards and NE.
Its purpose is to reduce the students.
The committee said the decision was aimed to reduce the civilized weight of the long-calcs. So the students can focus on critical analysis and the case study. It also decided that the CBSE will develop detailed guidelines on the models of acceptable calculators.
The calculator will only be allowed to use in the accountyle.
At the meeting held in November 2024, concerns were raised that after allowing calculators in accounting, other topics can also get rise for other topics. However, the committee clarified that the facility is being exchanged for only identification as the skill of the subject is focused on rational logic and conceptual understanding instead of the accuracy of basic mathematical functions.
