CBSE CTET 2026 Date: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a mandatory examination for the recruitment of teachers for classes I to VIII in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghastan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and other central government affiliated schools in India. This exam is conducted by CBSE at the national level to ensure that only eligible candidates become teachers.

Exam date and format
CBSE has announced CTET 2026 exam date as February 8, 2026 (Sunday). This exam will be conducted offline (in pen-paper mode).
There are two papers in CTET:
Paper-I: For Class 1 to 5
Paper-II: For Class 6 to 8
Candidates can choose to sit for one or both papers. Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) for a total of 150 marks. The time allotted for each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and there is no negative marking. Both the papers will be conducted on the same day in different shifts.
