Patiala/Patdar, 22 January
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was on a death fast for 58 days to meet the farmers’ demands, was taken out of his old room today and made to sit in the sun for some time. Doctors have advised that the farmer needs fresh air, light and sunshine to recover quickly. Now they will be kept in a modified special trolley.
It may be mentioned that after receiving the invitation of the meeting on February 14 from the central government, Dallewal had started taking treatment on the 55th day, but he is determined to continue his fast until the demands are met. Because of this, even today on the 58th day, his death fast continued. Doctors have advised that it is necessary to keep them in sunlight, fresh air and light along with the treatment to make them healthy quickly. A special room is being prepared for them by the farmers’ leaders on the advice of the doctors.
