Patiala, January 11
With reference to the continuous warming condition of Kisan leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, SKM (Gerasiasi) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have today written a letter to the coordination committee of SKM and appealed to hold an emergency meeting instead of January 15. Both the forums said that this meeting should be held at Dhabigujjar border instead of Patiala. The farmers’ organizations reasoned that they could not leave the front due to the warming condition of Dallewal. Therefore, this meeting should be held at the Dhabigujran border instead of Patiala.
Farmer leaders Sukhjit Singh Hardojhande, Abhimanyu Kohar, Lakhwinder Aulakh, Inderjit Kotbuddha and other leaders shared information about the above letter during a press conference held at the Gujran border in Dubai today. Farmer leaders said that this letter is being sent to the representatives of the coordination committee of SKM through WhatsApp and other means. The coordination committee of SKM had reached the Shambhu and Khanuri borders and issued an invitation letter for the January 15 meeting based on the decision taken in the Kisan Mahapanchayat in Moga on January 9.
On the other hand, the reports regarding the sample and ultrasound taken during the medical examination conducted by the high level medical board constituted by the Punjab government on January 9 are as worrying as before. Because of this, farmers leaders are hurrying to hold a meeting on the issue of unity with SKM, so that by uniting, pressure can be increased on the central government to meet the demands.
