Jaipur, December 12
Five-year-old Aryan, who fell into a 150-feet deep borewell in Dausa, Rajasthan, lost his battle for life today. After a rescue operation of over 55 hours, he was pulled out of the borewell last night and taken to the hospital in an unconscious state, where doctors declared him brought dead.
“The child was taken to the district hospital in an ambulance with advanced life support system but he died,” police said. The incident took place in Kalikhar village around 3 pm on Monday and the rescue operation started an hour later. Aryan was playing in a field and suddenly fell into a borewell in front of his mother. As soon as the rescue team reached there, the supply of oxygen through a pipe was started and a camera was installed to capture his movements.
A parallel pit was dug to reach the child. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel said there were many challenges in the operation. The water level in the area was about 160 feet. News-Patiala
