Farmer Jodh Singh (50), who had consumed sulfas pills four days ago at Shambhu border, died here today. The farmer breathed his last at 7 am today at the local government Rajindra Hospital. The deceased was a resident of Ratanheri village near Khanna in Ludhiana district.
On December 14, the Haryana police fired tear gas shells on a group of farmers who were marching to Delhi for the third time, and fed up with the anti-farmer actions of the government, they had consumed Sulfas pills at the Shambhu border. After this, he was admitted to Rajpura hospital, but due to his serious condition, he was sent to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. Although he was treated by doctors here, but he could not be saved and he died at 7 am today.
Meanwhile, farmers leader Sarwan Singh Pandher, who is leading the Shambhu Morche, along with Surjit Singh Phool, Jaswinder Singh Longowal, Manjit Singh Niyal, Manjit Singh Rai and Balkar Singh Bains and many other farmers expressed their grief over the death of Jodh Singh and condoled with the family. has expressed He has also demanded compensation for the victim’s family from the government in this regard. On the other hand, a farmer leader said that the dead body of Jodh Singh will be taken from the hospital to Shambhu border, where his dead body will be taken to village Ratanheri for cremation in the form of a convoy after the farmers’ colleagues pay their respects.
