Australia has decided to cancel the visa of the accused who desecrated Gurbani and dismembered Gutka Sahib and expelled him from the country. According to the information, in August, a video of the desecration of Gutka Sahib outside Gurdwara Canningwell in Perth surfaced on social media and Khijar Hayat (21) was arrested by Western Australia Police teams on the charge of desecration a few days after the incident. After the arrest, he was presented in the local court, but according to the court law, the Sikh organizations expressed their displeasure for not giving severe punishment to the alleged accused and appealed to the central government to take strict steps in this regard.

Now, taking strict steps, the country’s housing minister, Tony Burke, has canceled the visa of the alleged accused and announced to expel him from the country. After further action, Khijar Hayat, currently detained in Awas Bandi Center, will be deported. According to information, his background is from Pakistan. The Sikh Association of Western Australia has thanked Housing Minister Tony Burke and State Member of Parliament Sam Lim for their support.
