Shakeel Abbas argued that ‘The Taj Story’ is also being made with the same objectives and history has been distorted in it. Citing the trailer of the film, the petition said that many historical facts have been wrongly portrayed in the trailer.

The petitioner said that the CBFC did not responsibly examine the trailer and the content of the film, which could create confusion among the public. Apart from this, it was also said that a clear disclaimer (caution notice) should be added to the film and if necessary, some objectionable scenes should be removed.
