New Delhi, 24 December
Congress has released the second list of 26 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. The Congress has announced Asim Khan, who has recently joined the party, as the candidate from Matia Mahal and Devendra Shahrawat from Bijwasan constituency. Both of them have left AAP and joined the Congress party. Farhad Suri has been fielded against AAP leader Manish Sisodia from Jangpura constituency. Haji Ishraq Khan has been given a ticket from Babarpur and Rajesh Lilothia from Seemapuri. It is notable that the Congress had released the first list of 21 candidates on December 12, in which former MP Sandeep Dixit’s name was prominent. -News-Patiala
