Delhi Triple Murder: Nojwan killed his parents and sister: Police

New Delhi, December 5

Police have recovered the knife allegedly used in the triple murder in Delhi’s Nab Sarai area and blood-stained clothes. According to information, 20-year-old Arjun Tanwar was arrested on Wednesday for the murder of his parents and sister. Ex-serviceman Rajesh Kumar (51), his wife Komal (46) and their daughter Kavita (23) were found dead in their house in Deoli village on Wednesday morning.

According to the police, Tanwar did not have a good relationship with his parents and was upset that his parents favored his sister more. Police recovered a blood-stained sweat shirt and an army knife from Sanjay Van late on Wednesday night, which the accused had used to kill his parents and sister.

During interrogation, Tanwar told the police that he first killed his sister by slitting her throat while she was sleeping. He then went upstairs where he stabbed his father in the neck and slit his mother’s throat. Authorities said Tanwar changed into blood-stained clothes, put them in his gym bag and went to Sanjay One where he dumped them along with the knife used in the crime. After returning home, she tried to clean the blood stains from the washroom and other household items.

Tanwar told the police a false story, claiming that he was at the gym when the family members were killed, officials said. Tanwar was pursuing a degree in political science at a college in Delhi University and was a trained boxer. He represented Delhi in a state boxing event, where he won a silver medal. News-Patiala
