Angered by Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement, Congressmen protested by burning an effigy of Amit Shah near the railway station here today.
PPCC general secretary Kiranjit Gehri, former mayor Balwant Rai Nath, district vice-president of Congress Rupinder Bindra and Harpal Bajwa said that Dr. They are making statements against Ambedkar, which is not acceptable. They demanded that Amit Shah be removed from the Union Cabinet and that he apologize to the people for his alleged misdeeds.
Youth leader Baljit Singh, SC wing chairman Sunil Kumar, Roop Singh, Harvinder Sidhu and Sajan Sharma said that Amit Shah is speaking in arrogance, which does not befit a democracy. He demanded that the Home Minister apologize to the countrymen without delay.
Dharamkot (Hardeep Singh): Here, the Congress blew up the effigy of Union Minister Amit Shah as a protest against his use of bad language against the founder of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Under the leadership of District Congress Committee President and former MLA Kaka Sukhjit Singh Lohgarh, the Congressmen staged a furious protest outside the sub divisional civil office and blew up an effigy of Amit Shah.
Mamdot (Jaswant Singh Thind): Congress party in-charge from Ferozepur Rural constituency Amardeep Singh Ashu Bangar and Congress workers blew up the effigy of Home Minister Amit Shah in Mamdot. He said that the BJP has always been trying to change the constitution of India.
