Dense fog and cold wave continues to rage in Chandigarh Tricity today, which has affected the normal life of the people. Due to increasing cold in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, people are shivering all day long. That is why people came out of their homes in small numbers. Along with this, the temperature has also dropped by 4.1 degrees Celsius during 24 hours in Chandigarh. Today, the minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 6.5 degrees Celsius, which was recorded at 10.9 degrees Celsius the previous day. Similarly, today the maximum temperature of the city has been recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius. It has recorded 1.7 degrees Celsius above normal. However, Mohali recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 16.7 degrees Celsius.
In the City Beautiful this morning due to dense fog, visibility on the roads was poor due to which people had to face the fury of the fog while stepping out of their homes in the morning. Although the sun began to shine in Chandigarh as the day progressed, but due to the cold winds, the people could not get any relief from the cold. In the evening, the cold has once again taken hold in the city, due to which the streets of the city became silent in the evening. On the other hand, meteorologists have predicted dense fog and cold waves in the city on January 18 and 19. Meanwhile, the temperature will drop further.
According to meteorologists, the weather will change again in Chandigarh on January 21. Meanwhile, on January 21 and 22, light rain may occur along with lightning. Due to rain, the temperature of the city will drop further.
Life affected due to fog in Panchkula
Panchkula (PP Verma): Dense fog has affected life. The speed of vehicles slows down due to heavy fog in the morning. This is the time of school buses due to which school buses reach schools half an hour late. In the morning, employees have trouble going to the office. As the day dawns, the fog engulfs the Panchkula district in its bosom. According to the Meteorological Department, it will be foggy for one more week and the cold will also increase.
