Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Dil-Luminati’ concert is going to be held tomorrow on December 14 amid various restrictions. There was huge opposition among the city residents regarding this concert. Regarding this concert, where the administration had already attached various conditions, while hearing the petition filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court to cancel this concert, the High Court has imposed several conditions while giving the green flag to this concert. . On the other hand, the Chandigarh Police has issued an advisory for the audience attending this concert, including the general public, keeping the instructions of the High Court in mind. On the day of the show, after four o’clock in the afternoon, the area of Sector-34 will be almost completely sealed for vehicular traffic. Parking for spectators is not provided in Sector-34. Vehicle parking has been arranged by the police for the spectators in sectors 43, 44, 45, sectors 17, 29. From where they will be taken to the exhibition grounds in Sector-34 through shuttle bus service or Ola and Uber. People coming from Transport Light Point Sector-26 will get the facility of Sector-17 multilevel parking. While people coming from Mohali side will have to park their vehicles in open ground in front of Dussehra Ground Sector-43, Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Sector-44, Dussehra Ground Sector-45. Thus parking has been arranged in Mandi Ground Sector-29 for vehicles coming from News-Patiala Chowk. Shuttle bus service will be available from these places to the program venue.
The High Court imposed several conditions on the concert
While hearing the petition filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the High Court has given the green light to this concert and imposed several conditions, in which it has been said that the music event will be held only till 10 pm. The administration has to take care of security and traffic arrangements in the city. Apart from this, the sound should not go above 75 decibels in this event taking place in Sector-34 of Chandigarh. It is to be noted that Ranjit Singh, a resident of Sector-23, filed a petition in the High Court on Thursday to cancel this show of Diljit, saying that Diljit’s show will disrupt the traffic order in the city. During the hearing, the court also said that the event should have been held in the stadium itself.
2400 employees of Chandigarh Police posted
Around 2400 employees of Chandigarh Police will keep an eye on these entire arrangements. Police have advised the general public to avoid roads near Sector 34 Exhibition Ground and Sector 33/34 Dividing Road.
