In the cricket match, while a batsman was built without a race, it is called ‘duck’. But this duck is used with so many different names that sometimes cricket fans are confused about what it means. For example, in the first Test match against England, 5 players of India opened without opening their account.
But different words were used to do with all of them. Silver duck for the Golden Duck and Jaspriit Burrah for the SHIRD. When Karun Nair and Si Sihtars were out on zero, the common duck was used with their names. Finally, why is a word used to the duck before zero? What’s the full history, let’s know:
1. Golden Duck: The Golden Duck is considered the worst in cricket. If the batsman is built on the first ball of his innings, it is called the Golden Duck. In the Indo-England Test, Muhammad Siraj had the Golden Duck in the name of Muhammad Siraj. The Under-19 team captain Awatha Mahatra was the victim of the Golden Duck in the second Youth ODI.
2. Silver Duck: If a batsman is out on the second ball of the innings, it is called the Silver Duck. Jaspreet Bumarah was built without playing only 2 off 2 balls in the second innings against England.
3. Bronze Duck: When a batsman is out on the third ball of his innings and his score is 0, it is called Bronz Duck. This is less than the Golden and Silver Duck. But some fans do not stop the mention of it.
4. Diamond Duck: This is the most unfortunate duck. If a batsman is dismissed without playing a single ball, it is called the Diamond Duck. It is also called Platinum Duck. It is often with a batsman who gets run-out or timeout while on non-streak.
5. Platinum or Royal Duck: Platinum and Royal Duck and Golden Duck is a slight difference. These are just used in Test and First Class Cricket. If a batsman was out on the first ball in the first innings, it is called Platinum Duck. If this is done in the second innings, it is called Royal Duck.
6. Pear: If a batsman test dispelled to zero in both the batsman Test match, it is called ‘Pair’. Jaspreet Bumarh had picked up 0 paired in the first Test match against England.
7. King Payar: This is more embarrassing position than a pair for a batsman. When a batsman disappears on the first ball in both the cities, it is called King Pier.
8. Lofing Duck: When a batsman dismisses zero on the last ball of the match and it is called the innings of the team, it is also called a loffing dog. The famous Krishna made the same duck against England.
9. Normal Duck: When a batsman is out on 0 balls on top of the balls, it is called a simple duck, that is not given a different name. Three Indian batsmen against England were victimized. These included Karun Nair, Si Sihitarshan and New Sundarian and New Supervision.
