Congress leader and leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Pratap Singh Bajwa has written to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan and demanded former Prime Minister Dr. A joint resolution should be brought in the Punjab Assembly regarding the recommendation to award ‘Bharat Ratna’ to Manmohan Singh. Bajwa said that Dr. Manmohan Singh should be given India’s highest civilian honor in recognition of his work and outstanding service for the progress of the country. He has also written a letter to BJP leader Ashwani Sharma, Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali and BSP’s Nachhatar Pal. He said that the all-party delegation should meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demand to give Bharat Ratna to late Dr. Manmohan Singh. -News-Patiala
