DRDO made laser based weapon system which will destroy the drone in a second know details here

Laser Based Weapon System: India has achieved another major achievement in the defense sector. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has recently successfully tested a laser -based weapon system that is capable of eliminating enemy drones and sensors in a few seconds. This technology has included India in the list of few countries like America, China and Russia which are equipped with high-power laser directed energy weapon (Dew) technology.

Travel testing in Kurnool

For information, let us know that this advanced system is a 30 kW MK-II (A) Laser-Dew which has been fully developed in India. It has been tested at the National Open Air Range (NOAR) in Kurnool where it successfully targeted the fixed-wing drone flying long distances. This system not only thwarted many drone attacks but has also caused great damage to the enemy monitoring system and antenna.

DRDO prepared system

The entire system has been prepared by DRDO’s Center for High Energy Systems and Sciences (Chess) in collaboration with other research institutes like LRDE, IRDE, DLRL, educational institutions and Indian industry. It has performed brilliantly of all its capabilities during the test.

The laser-Dew system uses radar or electro-optic (EO) system to identify the target and attacks with light speed. Its sharp laser beam target can hurt the entire structure and damage it or explode directly by targeting the warhead.

The method of war will change

This technique can completely change the way of war, as it reduces dependence on expensive ammunition. Not only this, it also reduces the damage caused during the war. In such a situation, this new technology can prove to be a big step for cheap and effective options to respond to low -cost drone attacks.
