Gurusar Reforms, December 25 Earlier, during the sowing of wheat and potatoes, the farmers of Punjab were deliberately harassed by the central and state governments due to lack of DAP and now the farmers of Punjab are once again facing shortage of urea for the wheat crop. Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan) District President Charan Singh Noorpur, District General Secretary Sudagar Singh Ghudani and Nazar Singh Siyar alleged that the wheat crop is turning yellow due to lack of nitrogen, but urea fertilizer is not available in the market for farmers and Neither is meeting in cooperative societies. The farmers’ leaders also alleged that during the purchase of fertilizer, many unnecessary items are being looted blindly by putting them on the throats of the farmers. He said that governments are bent on robbing farmers and increasing the profits of corporate houses. He said that during the paddy season, the farmers are being harassed on purpose, due to the availability of fertilizers. If the farmers’ leaders do not arrange urea fertilizer immediately, the farmers will be forced to fight fiercely.
