Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwani Vaishnav said that the data protection rules issued by the government strike a balance between regulation and innovation while protecting citizens’ rights. Recall that the government on Friday released the draft law for the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act for public consultation till February 18. Electronics and Information Technology Minister Vaishnav said, “The laws should stay within the confines of the Act. This is under the purview of the Act passed by the Parliament. These conventions are designed to strike a balance between regulation and innovation while ensuring full protection of citizens’ rights.News-Patiala
