Ban on Residents from Falling Ill : Restrictions may be imposed on movement within any country or city. Restrictions can be imposed on freedom of speech or doing anything. But have you ever heard that a ban has been imposed even if you are sick? Yes… there is a city in the world where a ban has been imposed on people falling ill. So if you have to live in that city then you have to protect yourself from getting sick.

According to CNN report, this order has been issued in Belcastro, a small town in the Calabria region of South Italy. Belcastro Mayor Antonio Torchia has created a stir everywhere by issuing this strange order. According to the mayor’s order, there is a strict ban on falling ill in this city. Especially from such diseases which require going to the doctor and getting treatment.

What reason did the Mayor give behind this order?

Mayor Antonio Torchia said, “We are taking this order as a bit of a joke, but through this we want to draw attention to the poor condition of health services in the city.”

He further said, “The total population of Belcastro city is approximately 1300. More than half of these people are elderly. There is a health center in this city, but it often remains closed. At the same time, no doctor is available there for emergencies and at night on holidays. Nearby health centers are also closed. At the same time, the nearest emergency room from here is in the city of Catanzaro, about 45 kilometers away. In such a situation, it is necessary that such an order be issued as a precautionary measure.”

This order is a cry for help– Mayor

Mayor Antonio Torchia said, “This order is not just to incite people, but this order is a cry for help. “Through this order we want to draw attention to a situation which cannot be accepted.”

Appealing to the people, the Mayor said, “People should not do anything that could cause them any kind of harm or make them fall ill. Protect yourself from accidents happening at home. Do not go out of the house much. “Avoid traveling or playing sports and take more rest.”

He further said that this order will remain in force until the public health care centers start opening regularly in the city.
